On the first weekend in September, the old fishermen's harbour in Travemünde becomes the place to be for would-be sailors both young and old. Whether you're looking for traditional sea shanties, maritime children's events or a cruise aboard a beautiful tall ship: everything on this weekend revolves around fishing and seafaring.

1st September – 3rd September 2017

Petri heil! The 6th Travemünder Fischerfest in the fishermen's harbour offers an atmospheric programme of events to appeal to the whole family. With its original charm, the old harbour introduces its big and small visitors to the world of fishing and seafaring. Naturally, the beautiful tall ships are an integral part of this and offer open ship tours and Baltic cruises.

The musical programme equals three days of traditional shanty choirs, atmospheric accordion sounds and thrilling live music. The kids will definitely have fun with stories, tall tales and shanty singing with Käpt'n Wum, plus knot tying and paper boat making.
