Have a fantastic holiday at the seaside with your beloved four-legged friend and enjoy long walks on Travemünde's dog beach accompanied by the wind and waves, plus a whole sea of adventure.

With the fresh Baltic breeze in his nose your loyal companion can discover Travemünde his way. A holiday is always the best time of year for the whole family. So of course this includes your four-legged friend! In Travemünde the two dog beaches are open during the swimming season from 15th May to 14th September at Brodten riverside (Söhrmanndamm area, the first 100 m behind the former Mövenstein swimming facility) and on the Priwall Peninsula (Südermole, the first 100 m from the terminal for the passenger ferry) so you can swim, dig and play with your dogs.

An extra swimming pier has been built at Brodten riverside to ensure doggy swimming pleasure – our four-legged swimming visitors can use the pier to cross safely over the breakwater rocks.

Just like on the “non-dog beach”, a beach user fee is charged per person on the Priwall dog beach during the season.
The Brodten riverside beach is generally free of charge.

The best time to visit with your dog is definitely before and after the season. All the beaches in Travemünde and on the Priwall are open to dogs then.
Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed on the resort beaches from 1st April to 30th September.
All dogs must be kept on leads throughout the resort – not just in the beach area.
Dog waste bins are provided on the promenade.
